I want to thank Zippo for the information on a driver's backrest that can be installed with any seat. I saw it in the picture of his anti vibration kit, some of you may remember. Anyway, it is from Protac and is one of the best mods I have made to date.

Mounting bracket goes between the chrome trim and the saddlebag mount. The backrest slides into the bracket, so can be easily removed without tools.

Michaeleen really loves it because it keeps me from slouching to the left and putting pressure on her knee. See, she looks happy after the first 60 miles of the day's ride. This was taken in front of Truck Towne in Beresford, SD:

She was still happy with it at the end of the day too, which makes me happy. I was in the process of eating a slim jim, so you get a compressed smile and you're welcome.:
It was a beautiful day for a ride, but we didn't get out untill later in teh afternoon, so we only managed to run about 120 miles round trip. I have had the bike just barely over a year and at 9200 miles and am in need of a third back tire, but Michaeleen says it is worth a tire for the pleasure we get out of it.
