Been a lot of talk over the years about a flat tax, or even a simplification of the tax code. Just got this notice from Revenue Canada.

While you guys south of the Mason-Dixon line are out ridin’ …
Here’s what we’re doing north of the 49th. LOL

p.s. BTW Tony, don't try this at home. Man and moose, both professionals. ;-)

Aw Jeez, I should have known better … I had planned to wait for the weekend to do something as serious as baking, but … well. Measuring ingredients and keeping track of timing in the early morning after a party doesn’t seem to work well; LOL. Cake in a cup, cake on a cup. Got both covered. Guess I’ll settle for a Bronze medal [Like our Canadian Junior hockey team. :-(]
My stratoliner kinda hard to miss my 1300 when I just got a big version of it.

Hey all you guys and gals from the BAMA Gang Chapter fill out you Bio's and locations where you live. Would like to do a M&G or a ride before it gets to cold. If not this year maybe next spring
Thanks Jimmy (scooterjb)

Just couldn’t wrap my mind around leaving on Sunday , so after seeing everyone off, I hit the road this morning [Monday] after staying in St Joes last night. Man, I miss all you guys already! Of course, big black clouds were rolling in, but got away in a light drizzle and stayed ahead of the front so didn’t even have to put on rain gear. Easy ride across MO and into IL on Highway 36 and I-72. Cloud cover until about noon so a really comfortable 80 degrees or so then the sun broke out about noon and it got a little toasty. Back on my original plan and in Decatur, IL tonight. Headed toward the SW corner of WV tomorrow so I can ride I-79 again on Wednesday. If anyone hasn’t done this highway on a motorcycle, it should be on your bucket list. If all goes according to plan I’ll ride across I-89 on Thursday and think about zig zagging through the Finger Lakes in NY. Another bucket list highway as far as I’m concerned.

Rode Decatur to the SE corner of Cincinnati today. A short run but I’ll use losing an hour to the change back to EDT as an excuse. And I did tip a toe into Kentucky. On looking at the next few days, I think I’ll run the Ohio River north shore tomorrow and get a start on running up I-79.

Made it to Fairmont, WV today. About 350 miles along US 52 [north shore, Ohio River] then across to Charleston and up I-79. I love this super slab! Hardly a mile long stretch of straight road for about 150 miles ... just lean left, lean right, mile after mile at 70 to 80 mph. Man this is what riding a motorcycle is all about. Just contacted Doug, in Meadville, PA and he, Jenn and I will do lunch tomorrow before I head up into the Allegheny’s and New York Finger Lakes.

Purchased Road Burner exhaust pipes from Shane [SS Customs] in February 2008. Love the look and the sound. Starting off the riding season last year, the chrome on the tips had started to peel. I was not a happy camper. :-(
Showed Shane the tips at Lake George in June and demanded he replace the pipes. [Yeah, we both laughed]. He suggested I look into having the tips powder coated.
After being advised that I should have a special ceramic finish [for the heat], I found a local company in Ottawa and here’s the result. A little disappointed about a lack of available colours, but I’m a happy camper. ;-)

Did you know? Without Canadians the world would not have: insulin; sonar; baby pablum; and the zipper. We invented the telephone, the TV Camera, Trivial Pursuit and the walkie-talkie. And, contrary to popular belief, the light bulb was invented by Canadian Henry Woodward who sold the rights to his patent to Thomas Edison.
Am I a proud Canadain? UBETCHA! [Sorry Sarah Palin :-)]. Equally proud to be a part of this incredible “family” of motorcycle riders.
