How cold is to cold?

I know some of you "older" riders dont like the cold, but I was wondering at what point do say "screw-it, its just to cold to ride!"

For me, so far the coldest I've rode in was 28 degrees for about one hour then the temp. started to rise. My basic rule is as long as the roads are clean of ice and sand/salt I'll ride!

Spark Plugs

Hi All
Just a note regarding our spark plugs. Just hit the 14000km mark on my bike so I thought it would be a good time to put in some new plugs. Went to a couple auto retailers but had no luck getting any as they do not stock them, so I went to the Yamaha dealer. To my great surprise I was charged $42.00 for two plugs #LMAR7A-9.............I have never paid more than $8.00 dollars each for these on any of my previous Bikes. Can anyone tell me what the deal is with Yamaha. The parts guy there told me they are the only place I can get them. Not sure if I should install them or put them in wife's China Cabinet and just stare at them for awhile.

long winter

Long winter, idle hands and new paint gun.
decided one day last winter while sitting in my workshop to try my hand at painting. But what to paint ,sitting in the shop was my 2007 1300 candy red in color with some minor scratches. So i started to read and ask questions . One thing lead to another . After the paint job. I made some additional mods . Cobra longshot exhaust, cobra Fi2000r, 150 green LEDs, new rear turn signal, new bags, new stero system, Fairing car tire, keylees ignigtion, run/turn/brake module, new mirrors, Led running marker lights, tag lay down and waiting on new mustang seat.

Battery Bolts

When installing my battery back on the bike today, the part that the battery bolt threads into fell out and inside the bike somewhere. I heard it fall out, but didn't hear it hit the ground. After a hour of bouncing and leaning the bike I couldn't get that little square threded piece to fall out. Is there somewhere I can buy this part, or do I have to buy a new battery. The bike is an 07' so it may need a new battery soon anyway.

First Ride :)

I couldn't wait any longer, went to the Yamaha dealer and picked up my new 09 red 1300. I don't know, but I think red is pretty darn fast!! I think this was the only vehicle I've purchased that had 000000 kms on the odometer! :) I only put 60 kms on it yesterday and it sure is a great bike to ride.
I need to cut down the windshield, make or buy some lowers, add my factory luggage rack, remove those decals from the gas tank (we get two in Canada, one in English and one in French!), a new seat, and handlebars!
I found out the kill switch is really easy to flip! lol
I had the neutral light flickering and even stayed lit for a bit while riding? It will be mentioned to the service department when the first check up is due at 1000 kms.
Now if only the weather smartens up here!!

Questions for the Barber MC museum in Birmingham AL.

Hi I have talked my brother into going down to the Barber museum this year, probbly go in the spring. What I would like, is some of you guys that live down there or anyone that has been there give me a little information. I have looked at the website, so I dont need that information. Mostly lodging and other attractions ect. We had intended to go last summer and that didnt work out so my wife and I forged on to the southwest..............
Thanks to all that reply, jdadoug.
