Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

Been hanging around the site for a few weeks to pick up as much info as I could about an awesome bike. I just picked up a new '09 tourer Monday morning. I've only had the chance to put on about 100 miles, but I can't wait to put on a lot more.

I started riding motorcycles again after about 40 years. Rode a number of dirt bikes as a teen back in Nebraska, but then I got away from it. However, a friend got me interested again, so I completed the MSF course. I picked up a used vstar 1100 which I have been riding for about five years, but I wanted to get something new. So, I made the jump to the 1300. I'm 60 years old going on 20 after riding the 1300. This machine is so much more sophisticated than my 1100.

I'm already getting ready for some mods. I ordered the progressive fork springs, Lindby bars, and a Saddleman seat. I'm sure I will make many more changes before I'm finished, but you are never really finished.

I live in Northern Colorado, and I would like to find more 1300 riders to ride with. Drop me line so we can plan something.
