Well, it was mid 40's with the sun just breaking through cloud cover and I said to heck with it and left the office at 2:30 to get the bike out for the first time this year.
First, I headed North to check on the progress on the bridge replacement project between Westfield, Iowa and Richland, SD. You can tell it is spriong time here because the Big Sioux River is out her banks at several locations and the bridege area is one of them.
View to North of bridge, river is still 1/4 mile away.

View to South of bridge, river is in trees at back of photo.

Then I headed further North to check on the next available bridge over the river between the states. The river is out and over the road west of the bridge, so the road is closed. This is as close as I could get and the river is close to a mile East.

Then I headed West to I-29 and came across this deserted farmhouse on SD Hwy 48 about 1 mile east of I-29. I always wonder about the stories these old places could tell if they could talk.

All total, it was only 75 miles rouond trip with a stop in "Beautiful Downtown Burbank, SD" for a green beer and then on back home.
This was the first time I rode with the Mustang seat and I really liked it.
