Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

I installed my new vintage 2 piece mustang seat with rider backrest the other day and had my first ride.

Initial impression is...it sure is different.

It does seat me a couple inches forward, I suppose I was expecting that based on other posts here. The new foot position relative to the new seating position is taking some getting used to. I have Kuryakyn foot pegs mounted to my boards and with the new seating position, Im thinking forward controls might be better.

The seat itself seems to be humped running front to back. I cant tell if there is actually less surface contact between me and the seat because of this. I wonder if the hump will flatten out? I wonder if I want it to. I only got a couple 45 minute trips in it, so no really long rides in it yet, but so far there hasnt been a hallelujah moment making me glad I spent $600.
