Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

You know....the team that's going to win the superbowl again this year! My name is Steve and I'm about an hour south of Green Bay, WI. I am a long time Yamaha owner and just bought a new leftover raven 2009 1300. My only other bike is a 1977 XS650 which I bought new and still have. It's sort of a cafe style and I put 3k on her last summer. the old Xs is fine around town but I wanted something with more comfort and less vibration. The 1300 is like driving a Rolls Royce compared to the XS and my 55yr old bones like it much better so far.

I only have about 150mi on so far because of the cold but have done a few mods. The bike was a non tourer so I added the oem tall windshield which needs to be tilted and cut down a little, I've got the Yam lowers on order, oem engine guards (add airlite chaps later), the oem backrest and some US Saddlebags. I got some great deals on the NOS parts from e-bay. I did have a grasshopper backrest but sent it back because I didn't like the folded over stapled bottom. I may make my own out of an oem passenger backrest. So now I can't wait for summer to get here...it's going to be a long winter looking at the new bike sitting in the garage.
