Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

My name is Brett and I bought a 2009 blue/silver tourer. Put the Lindby Linbar on her and lowered and tilted the shield. (Don't know if I'm ever going to be happy with the stock shield). So far really enjoy the bike. I have put about 400 miles on her so far. I'm a pilot on a tugboat that runs the Mississippi River and Inter-coastal waterways and work 20 days on and 10 days off so I only have a few days a month to ride. (But I make the most of it riding around Fredrciksburg, Kerville, Blanco, San Marcos etc.) For those of you familiar with this area you will know that it is a great place to own and ride a motorcycle. I almost bought a 2009 Heritage Softtail until I saw a 1300T and realized I could get a brand new one for less than half the price of the Harley...(paid 8960 for the '09). My dad rides a springer classic but he really likes the way my bike looks and performs.
Anyway, just wanted to say hey and am glad to be a part of the community. Really appreciate the wealth of info here and am using it everyday. I am soon going to put cobra speedster longs, Barons big air kit and oem passing lamps on her. Should sound good.
