The Idea of an Iowa Meet & Greet some time this summer has been raised. The western Iowa area of the Loess Hills has been suggested as a location.
Let's Discuss. :)

Are any of the Iowa crew participating in this?
I got my book Sunday at the Silver Dollar in Hinton and am planning a couple of long day runs to the SE and NE of Sioux City to fill in a few. Even if I don't make it to Soldier for the festivities, it's a good excuse to go during the weekends. Of course, being a volunteer firefighter, I like the cause.
Made for a bit of a brisk ride to work this morning, but the sun was shining and the wind wasn't blowing a hundred, so it was a good ride anyway. Fortunately, I only have to run 16 miles to get here and about halfway down I was thinking that a nice pair of chaps or a wind suit would be just wonderful. The jeans didn't quite cut it as well as I would have liked. Other that, it wasn't bad and it is supposed to get back in the 60's today.
On another note, I have just over 500 miles on the Mustang seat and I am loving that seat. The way I sit in it makes for a more secure and comfortable ride. since I don't feel like I am moving atround on the seat, I feel more secure and can corner with more confidence. This is the best mod I have made. Now, I have to raise the pad on the sissy bar to hit Michaeleen's back better. I have already seen a couple of methods used by others, so I don't even have to ask the question.

My buddy and I are planning to do the Great Lakes tour in July leaving from Tampa, FL. The whole round trip is about 4800 miles and we think we can do it in 10-13 days. Any advice as far as where to stay or interesting places to stop and visit would be appreciated....thx... Ali
