The leather on the saddle bags is lifting away in spots from the hard structure. The dealer asked what do you use to protect the leather. I told them 303 Protectant. They said you have to use Mink Oil. Water is seaping in under the leather and lifting away, must use mink oil to make the leather waterproof. They said they had a claim into Yamaha from someone else and it was rejected because they were not using Mink Oil to protect the leather. Check your saddle bags and if the leather is not tight and is starting to lift, Yamaha may replace under warranty if you are using Mink Oil, no Mink, no warranty! Anyone else seeing this problem?
