Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

Hi everyone!

I skipped the dealer and purchased my luggage rack from Hellriser Customs... and saved about $30! This item came with free shipping, so I saved gas & tax on top of the $30 off the price tag!

Installation was pretty straightforward, but I did run into a small problem that I wanted to warn everyone about. The mounts on the luggage rack are precisely cut to fit inside the posts of the backrest. The welds on the inside of the backrest prevented my backrest from fitting flush against the posts of the backrest. I think the bolts would have been long enough if the fit had been flush.

After making a quick trip to hardware store and picking up some 1/4" longer bolts, the luggage rack went in without issue and was extremely solid and secure.

I have my touring pack loaded up (a RiverRoad pack from bikebandit.com) and ready to go... unfortunately... it's still cold & another round of snow is expected tonight. Come on spring!!!
