I have been looking into the cost of flights from the UK and the cheapest I can find is about $1100 without vehicle hire, accommodation, food etc so it looks like another year will go by without a UK entrant.

How about meeting halfway next year, I understand that Greenland is quite nice in June !!!!

In view of the fact that the trip to The US is so expensive, Sue and I are going to Scotland the week before M&G and we are paying $130 for 6 nights accommodation. Yes, thats $130 for 6 nights for two people. (It's a chain we use regularly and they were having a new year sale)
