ONE YEAR OF OWNERSHIP!!!!!!!!!

Well it has been exactly one year of ownership for my 1300. I figured I would give everyone a short rundown of my past year with the Blu Bomb.
The day I bought I could not ride it home due to the several inches of snow and ice on the roads. So it had to sit at the dealers for a little while. Man you wanta talk about foaming at the bit to get your bike! I had it bad!
So a week passes by and there’s a slight break in the weather but it’s still threatening to sleet! I good friend of mine had an enclosed trailer he let me barrow….. off I went to Topeka, KS to get her.

Backed the trailer into the driveway and the “first” ride was about 40 feet to the garage, where she would set for another week!

Finally a good break. The roads were clear and it warmed up to 28 degrees. That’s was good enough for me. Suited up and off I went!

That day was a turning point for me in my life. I knew I would never go without a motorcycle again!

Now about the bike and my experiences!
The first the "mod" I did was to rotate the handel bars upward as far as they would go. Then on a trip to visit my parents I stopped at a Yahama Dealer and they had some crash bars and Highway pegs, so on they went! After reading tons of info on this cite I was convinced there were certian other "mods" I could do. So I drilled the excaust and air box right away (wow what an improvement). I layed down the license plate as well. For a little more comfort for me and the wife I put on an Ultimate Seat. The next big "mod" was going to the darkside! My personal opinion........ one of the best things you can do!

Took a little lunch run yesturday and headed to Amsterdam, Mo. to try out McBee's Brat House. It was a short 80 mile ride on good roads.

First I should mention that im not a big Brat eater, but I figured I would try one. Its a nice little "mom and pop" type store. When I pulled into the parking lot I could already smell that wonderful aroma. Parked, Shed the Helmet, and walked in. The guy behind the counter (owner) greeted me with a very nice hello and asked what he could get me.

I told him I was hear on the recomendation of a friend (KansasWizard). He smiled and thanked me for coming. When I asked him what I should try, he simply said "all of them"! He pointed to the top of the counter where there about a dozen Brats. There were three different flavors, New Orleans, Pine Apple, and Chicken Cordon-bleu. I cant eat real spicy stuff so New Orleans was out and the Chicken Cordon_bleu didn't sound good, so Pine Apple it was!

I can only think of two words to describe the taste...........FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McBee's is on the "Will Eat Thier Again" list. I would drive several hundred miles to have another one!

So KansasWizard or anyone else thinking of going, Post a date and time I'll meet you there!
