Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

Hi all,
I just recently picked up an '09 1300, and was reading the instructions for the oil change. The manual says to loosen the two bolts on the cylinders and look for oil seepage to be sure there is oil flow. Would anyone know if i hooked up handlebar mounted oil pressure gages to these holes, would they actually read presure?

Sorry if this has already been asked, but a search did not turn anything up.
