I've got the Pikes Peak run planned out again this year, so I'm posting early in case anyone would like to ride along.
This is a ride, right to the top of Pikes Peak and back home, over a weekend. This year we're going on July 29th, 30th and 31st.
Here is the link from last years' ride --> http://1300tourer.com/content/1-mountain-2-men-2-bikes-3-days-3-states-1...
This time we'll be trying to avoid any storms while on the mountain....(^8
The initial meetup will be along I-70, just east of Topeka at the big gas-n-go around 6pm. We'll expect to hit that same spot Sunday afternoon (hopefully an hour or two earlier) and split up to head home.
Anyone that wants to ride along is welcome to join! But be aware this isn't a casual, easy ride. You will need rain gear, gravel experience, no fear of heights, and the ability to ride 500+ miles a day. We should be able to spend around an hour at the peak, and that might be the longest stop we make (sans the hotels at night).
