Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

Got the Saddlemen HC 2900 hard case for my 07. 07 Tourer has the back sissy bar and pad, OEM. On the OEM Yammy luggage rack, the trunk sits too low to open all the way. .. sissy bar pad hits it first. I can live without the sissy bar and pad, but in taking it out (4 screws), the OEM luggage rack no longer screws back in! Luggage rack has holes for the sissy bar screws; they don't screw INTO the bar, just sit through them. Don't know if I can get a nut down on the second hole.

Anyone else installing a trunk had to deal with the sissy bar removal? And what was the fix for the luggage rack?
