Luke and I have been using the Sena now for about a month and a half or so. We're very happy with the system. We just rode two 12 hour days and they were still working at the end of the day. That's some good battery life. They also come with a 12v power cord so you can plug into a power outlet if you have one.
The only complaint I have is the microphone stalk. It's a bit flimsy for an open face helmet. Before this last trip I used some solid core electrical wire in a small diameter with black insulation and wound it tightly around the stalk from the unit to the microphone. That worked like a charm and even at a close look, it looks factory.
Luke and I sometimes get in the zone and don't say much for miles, but it's there when we want it. It really makes riding more of a pleasure when you feel like talking and safer when you can alert the following rider to upcoming turns, road hazards, etc.
I would find it hard to ride without an intercom system now. It's money well spent.
