Hello all, I'm not a V-Star 1300T owner yet, but hope to be within a week or so.
1st a little about my bike riding/owning history.
It all started with me back in 1972 when I purchased my 1st bike, I was 16 and opted for two wheels instead of 4. I had a 72 Kawasaki S2 350. It was the 1st year of the 3 cylinder 2 stroke bikes. I loved it but the middle cylinder kept fouling the plug. I rode the wheels off that thing.
Next was a 73 Norton Commando Roadster. Fond memories on and about the bike. It was on that bike that I met my wife in 75. The bike is long gone but the wife is still around. I REALLY miss that bike.
Then came the 77 Kawasaki CSR 650. Very modern bike compared to the Norton but buzzy in the pegs and hand grips. I sold it in 78, joined the Army, my son was born in 79 and I took a hiatus from bikes for about 20 years while my son was growing up.
Fast forward to 98 when I purchased a left over 97 Moto Guzzi California 1100i. Very different bike with a cult-like following.
Then came the 99 Yami RS Venture, 01 Gold Wing, 03 Yami RS Venture, 05 Gold Wing, 09 Can-AM Spyder, --- 09 VStar 1300T???!!!
The Spyder is sold I am awaiting the new owner to pick it up this week then I plan on buying the VStar. I have it picked out (Red) and am going to have engine guards, passing lamps, highway pegs, and ISO grips installed before delivery.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Kevin
