PS:I think this was the first time ever I drove without my leatherjacket and 3/4 helmet... The reason; maximum allowed speed was between 30-50km/hr and with > 97.000 other bikers around you, you can't drive much faster than that anyway around the lake.. So I took the risk. The road around the lake was turned into a one-way street for the duration of the festival....
I believe I read in the newspaper there were only 17 accidents during the entire week and 9 bikers ended up in hospital during the week.. still too many, but not too bad in my opinion...
My compliments and respect to all bikers, HD and all people involved who made this festival what it is, for the 12th year in a row...
