Since yesterday was so hot in the Denver area, my wife and I decided to take a ride west into cooler weather on my '08 1300T. The 150 mile trek was to the gambling town of Black Hawk (where we merely contributed to the local economy), continuing on CO 119's Peak to Peak Highway through Rollinsville and the Last Shot Bar and Grill (jammed with bikers), on to Nederland, then Boulder (jammed with C.U. students ready to start classes). From Boulder, we headed east on US 36 (the old Boulder Turnpike) to Broomfield (to visit our daughter and son-in-law), continuing on US 36 to I 25 to home. It was a great ride, with my bike (now with 10,500 miles) performing beautifully, as always.
