After attending the MSF class, I have been riding this bike for 4 weeks now. I had the dealer perform the 600 mile service, waited for 1000 miles and then let the bike do its thing. This is my first bike (not counting the tiny scooters during my young age). Understated elegance with a beast hidden inside.
I love the understated sound of the bike, the raw power ready to be unleashed particularly at higher speeds and lack of vibration. The sound is low enough to let me enjoy the solitude of riding, but loud enough for me to appreciate the power.
After my 8 hour, 300 mile ride, I felt great. No tingly feeling anywhere and my butt felt great even sitting on the stock seats. Even going at 70 miles/hr, this bike was ready to be unleashed, which had me in awe. Couple of things I will change which are coming soon. RSTD handlebar will be installed in next couple of days and Bucks Lowers is the next investment. Those too things will make the ride pretty close to perfect for me.
The last thing is the age ole "clunking" noise when going over the bumps. The dealer checked the stem nut (which was fine) and changed the Fork oil. That made is a lot lot better, but there is still a noise going over big bumps. I think I can tolerate this.
Thank you everyone here. You are awesome. I believe I am a better and a more knowledgeable rider due to this forum.
