This years Toy Run is coming up next Sunday. Riders meet at Walmart off Enterprise at 10:00a. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for the little ones or a gift card for the often left out teens!! This is a great cause and a great day surrounded by so many bikes!

Hope to see our Kelowna and area 1300 riders there,

Vicki

My turn - Rear Ended

Well, It's my turn. I just got rear ended at a stoplight. Damage to rear fender, light, exhaust, and bags. I couldn't believe it. It knocked me for a little jolt. I'm pretty sure I'm OK. Lower back is a little sore but I don't think there is a real problem.
Has anyone from the Festus area ever taken their bike to Surdyke in Festus to have repairs done? I'm not sure if they, my dealer, is the best place to take it or not.

Motorcycle Show and Shine

There is going to be a motorcycle show and shine on the 18th from 10am to 4pm at the Country Grocer in the Valley View shopping centre. It is off hwy 1 at the Cowichan bay/Cobble Hill turnoff.

http://www.countrygrocer.com/upload/docs/Motorcycle%20Show%20and%20Shine...

I was thinking I would turn on my BBQ at noon and anyone going to the Show and Shine could drop by for a burger and soda. I have some red wine for passengers and I guess I could bring out some beer but there will probably be some heavy enforcement with all the bikes in the area. I thought I would turn the BBQ off at 2 so that everyone could get on with their rides.

If you think you can make it email and I will give you the directions to my place.

risers

I am a new rider and just recently bought a 1300 T. I am a senior and 6' tall and find that I am too far away from the handle bars. I have adjusted them up as high as I can but still too far away and very wide. I have a bad back and just installed mustang seats with a back rest. I traded in a Honda 750 shadow with the same seats and they felt very good and the right distance from the handle bars. I am not mechanical minded so will have to have the dealer install the risers but I don't know if this is the right route to take or not.
Any info anyone had would be great as this must be a common problem. Thank you.

Kelowna, B.C. 1300 Riders

Hey, well our summer has finally hit....nice and warm this week!

There seems to be a few K-town 1300 riders here on the site. Maybe we could get together for a small Meet and Greet of our own and week end ride, check out each others bikes. Post a reply and maybe we could organize something!
