Yahoooooo indeed......

Got my PowrPro CVT installed 3 weeks ago and my Speedster XLs on 2 weeks ago but other than the perfunctory start-up, it's been too wet/cold/snowy/just plain ugly out to actually try them out to see if I actually knew what I was doing. Today it is 39 out and beautifully sunny so away we went. I do believe I done do'd everything right. No backfiring or popping on decel and no hesitations at low speed. Spent some time cruising at lower speeds in traffic and was really impressed with the HUGELY noticeable low speed performance. Decided to head out of town before putting it back in the barn.....hit the highway and YOWZA.....about the first time I came out of second hard on the throttle it felt like the bike wanted to take off without me. Ran it up to 95 a couple of times to help set the upper range of the PowrPro and simply couldn't believe the immediate performance difference.......and that's with a still-stock airbox (Shane will be getting an order shortly to rectify THAT situation) so I can only imagine how that might effect things. I am waaaayyyy impressed! Everything everyone has been saying is dead-on! Only thing that took a bit of getting used to was the amount of "pinging" noises the new exhaust system makes and I'm pretty sure that is mostly due to the fact that the heat shields are full length instead of all the short sections on the stockers. Warm weather can't come soon enough.
