Hello Mo/Kan Riders,

Time for another Missouri Breaks event. I'm sorry for the lack of an event in July as my bike was in the shop for most of the month. Now that August is here, and I'm back on 2 wheels, we're going for another ride. There is interest from some riders to run a 1300vs1300 drag race, and that is the impetus for this event. This event is open to all motorcycle riders.

This is going to be a southwestern event. Springfield is the area, and the town is Rogersville. Just east of Rogersville is the Ozark Raceway Park --> http://ozarkracewaypark.com

The local drag strip in Rogersville has an event planned for Aug.22nd they're calling a "Motorcycle Bash". Sounds like fun, and we're hoping for open drag racing at the event. We have asked for additional information from the track, but have not received details at this time. That event is scheduled to begin @ 2pm, so I've set our event the same. This event may be rescheduled to an earlier time that day for other 1300 Mo/Kan activities. There doesn't appear to be much in the way of commercial development around the track area, so it might be a good idea to plan on bringing food/water with you. Of course, there should be refreshments available at the track.

If they have open racing, I will be doing runs and will gladly run against any other 1300 rider (but I'm not going to give away wins). Bring your leather(s), boots and full-face helmet if you want to race. Check the track website for specific safety gear requirements. The track has sole discretion on who gets to run, and expect them to do a safety inspection on your bike.
