Frostbite posted about this in the other Georgia thread. Luke and I will be sending in our applications tomorrow. Georgia Lions Club for the Blind.
http://www.glcb.org/ on that page click on the Georgia map and it will take you here http://www.glcb.org/Moto.htm (or just click the link) fill out the registration form and mail it in.
They will send you a passport listing 19 places of interest in Ga. Visit 15 of them along with 1 mandatory one and receive a free pin and the chance to buy a tee-shirt.The money goes to the Lions Camp for the Blind in Waycross. I believe that charity starts at home (rather than some country I can't spell or maybe pronounce) and am happy to donate for a worthwhile cause close by, while having some fun on my bike.
Frostbite has already finished it and according to the lady I spoke to, he may be the first one to finish out of 99 people who have ordered the passport so far. Frostbite get your documentation in quickly.
We have 43 riders here in Ga. and anyone that wants to hook up with Luke and I, give me a holler. Maybe we can schedule a ride and visit some of the places together. I'm stoked. I can't wait to get the passport, see the sites listed and start mapping out the routes.
Frostbite, thanks for the information and my hats off to you for completing it. Well done.

Hello All,
I just got back from scouting a ride for the Iowa Meet & Greet through the Loess Hills in western Iowa. I have found some fantastic roads to travel and a couple of good motels in the Lake Manawa/Council Bluffs area to stay at. For those that want to go on a ride through the Loess Hills we will start in Council Bluffs, IA and head north about 100 miles on various county & state 2 lane roads to Smithland, IA for lunch at Runt's Place on Hwy 141. We will spend some time eating and visiting then head back to Council Bluffs on a mostly different route.
Detailed map of route
The plan would be for those who choose to stay in Council Bluffs Saturday night to go out for dinner and socialize. Lake Manawa area has several nice restaurants within walking distance of the motels.
If anyone would just like to come to Runts for lunch and meet the group that is also encouraged. I know there are a bunch of riders who don't ride in groups and I respect that. I will also provide a map later with the route if anyone would like to ride the route by themselves.
I want to invite all riders on the forum to joins us for the event.
Motels:
Settle Inn - $80 per night including tax (I will stay here again) They also have a cheaper rate if you book ahead. 888-980-5555
Fairfield Inn - $98 plus taxes
Motel 6 - $66 plus taxes

Hello everyone-
I am proud to announce that my employer will once again be sponsoring a ride to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This year's ride will be around Lake Mille Lacs, beginning and ending in Maple Grove. Last year, the bosses were a little nervous and we kept things small. This year they want us to go as big as we can!
On April 1, registration materials will be available at:
http://www.uhlcompany.com/communityservices.html
Thank you.

Well done.
