Like Subnuke, I wasn't impressed with the vendor turn out at Star Days. But, meeting all of our forum members who attended made the trip to Rogers, Arkansas worthwhile. Montana is a long haul from southern Indiana, though. I'd be more inclined for a central CONUS site.

To All:
I am interested in a long road trip with the rest of the V Star enthusiasts. Does not matter to me where. I live in souhern AZ but have been all over the country, to some degree or another, and would like to ride with like minded scooter folks. Let me know when and where and I'll be there.

I thought about going to star days again but won't stay hole week there. might tour down thru yellow stone park. black hills of south dakota wasn't to far out of the way, on the way back home. just a suggestion.
Rick....... wichita ks.
Rick, I too was planning on going out west in 2009(yellowstone, badlands, etc.). Is anyone an experienced rockies rider? I would love to see that part of the country with someone who knows that area. If we go to star days I will only stop by for the day and travel on also. Vendors don't really matter much to me (I have the internet). Sounds like it will be a good ride to 2nd annual rally where ever it is. Look forward to meeting the members who attend.
Okay then, my vote goes for not hooking up with Star days. I will add, and suggest for consideration, that I am always up for a time and a place where after-market venders gather and show off their wares. That said, I’m confident that wherever we go it will be a good time and I look forward to renewing acquaintances and meeting new members.
Billings would be absolutly perfect for me! We don't have a whole lot of motorcycle happenings out this way and this would be wonderful!

I was very underwhelmed with Star Days. Just don't see the point of following Star Days around unless it's something other than a big weekend for a local dealer. Did local radio even show up? If we don't follow Star Days, I would suggest we should plan activities for 2 days rather than just an afternoon.
I'll throw out a suggestion. It's not central US, but the country is gorgeous. Asheville, NC. Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding areas are great for riding. Grandfather mountain is a great ride and The Dragon is within riding distance for a day trip.
Funny, the wife and I were talking the other day about wanting to see Montana...
On the other hand we have a son, his wife and 18 month old grandson stationed in Jacksonville N.C. so we could kill two birds...etc.
Being born and raised in east Tennessee I DO miss any mountains so would be happy either way, but must admit I'm leaning towards the Smokies!
I enjoyed the 1st one very much. My 2 cents is maybe 2 or 3 days of rides, eats, & pictures.
Location for me would be within 600 miles or so from MO. But maybe a little farther. My Copilots bumb goes numb on longer rides. It doesn't have to be with Star Days, I wasn't impressed.
Maybe a cooler time of the year. 80* is nice. Ha Ha
Have a great day,

If you kept it Centrally located, where would the alternative be?

That would be up to our members who would like to attend. I'll start taking suggestions after this poll closes.

I would love to attend the next rally, but Billings is about as far as I would probably have time for.
