Details:
As some of you know I was chosen from a host of applicants [lol] to assist with organizing next year’s 1300 Tourer shindig. Actually, I made a plea to bring the event to the North East for a change, in that most of the 22,000 miles on “Enterprise” have been put on getting me to and from Rogers, AR; Gatlinburg, TN and Salida, CO.
Please join us in beautiful, motorcycle friendly, Lake George, New York for the 4th annual 1300 Tourer Meet & Greet. We will gather Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 14, 15, 16, 2011. This is the week following Americade. http://tourexpo.com/data/index.php. For anyone not familiar with Americade you might want to surf their website and consider getting to Lake George early. It truly is a unique experience and there is an abundance of hotels and motels in the area.
For our rally, we have made special arrangements at the Georgian Lake Side Resort. http://www.georgianresort.com/the-resort/media-gallery/ . Courtyard rooms may be booked at the rate of $91.09 [tax in] per night with upgrades available at additional expense. Reservations will be your own responsibility. Please telephone (800-525-3436) or (518)-668-5401 and BE SURE to inform the staff that you are with the 1300 TOURER GROUP and demand they include this identifier with your booking. We have rooms blocked under this identifier.
NEW *** - I'm going to recommend that everyone send an e-mail to the Georgian Resort [ info@georgianresort.com ] and request a direct response with a confirmation number for your reservation. Again, be sure to indicate you are with the 1300 Tourer group and I'd suggest you verify in the email the nights you need your room.
Information about the Lake George area may be found at; http://www.lakegeorgechamber.com/ and special information packages will be sent upon request to: sue@lakegeorgechamber.com Please specify in your request that you are with the 1300 Tourer group and indicate anything you think might be of particular interest to you.
For campers, there is a state run camp ground one mile from the Georgian Lake Side Resort. For information go to: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24453.html
Further, here are some points of interest [POI’s] within range. The Lake Placid Olympic center; the Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown; Orange County Choppers, Newburgh; SS Customs, Wappingers Falls [Shane may be closing up shop and joining us in Lake George]. There are plenty more.
As usual, this will be an opportunity to meet other members who you may have gotten to know from this website but haven’t had the opportunity to see up close and personal. With planned day rides, impromptu gatherings and other activities, good times are guaranteed for all.
So sign up folks. Suggest you surf and bookmark the above mentioned websites, contact representatives at your convenience and keep an eye out for updated information at this link. Your comments and/or suggestions are always welcomed.
We will have patches and decals for all attendees.
